Promeneurs de chiens matinaux
Early morning dog walkers are among the early risers the city can see. On morning walks, dog walkers are mostly everywhere, but most are not easy to approach for a portrait. Some are in a rush, others don’t feel good enough, and others are just cranky at this time of day.
This picture was an easy one as the owner was really into it, but the dog wasn’t. The camera’s proximity wasn’t making him curious at all, and while I was trying to approach him, he was silently growling at me. By the end, I got his attention or curiosity and did the shot.
Equipment here is simple ( Fuji X-T2 with 10-24mm). Settings are my go-to for walking in the city (Aperture priority set at F/8.0), as it was a really fast portrait, where I needed to react fast to the occasion.
